WE HAVE....

... peace and quiet .. pouring rain (don't have to water the baskets this am) .... and peace and quiet AHHhhhhhh! lol x.. AND a new manhole cover xxx Considering the noise and disruption it looks very small !!! Never mind it is done and I am sure the people across the road are pleased xx lol

I remembered the name of the lady who came to talk to us about colour .. Greta Fitchett... look her up she is very inspiring x

The ladies who were with me on Wednesday were Lucy from www.charmaboutyou.blogspot.com Rachel from www.mammafairysews.blogSpot.com Ali from www.veryberryhomemade.blogSpot.com and Jo (same Jo I swap blocks with) from JoZart .. I cannot find her blog address so .. although I thought I was all organised and caught up its .. back to the drawing board once more!! lol x

Jo brought me the beautiful swap block for June ..

saved on postage this month xx

Thursday night was Sandbach Quilt group ... you may have noticed I have been out just about every day/evening this week!.. that's it now for the month!! lol x We had an on the night make .. 3 of the ladies made the block .. have done it before and did not want to keep them ... GUESS WHO they donated them too!!...

SO I have turned them into pot holders and they can go on the stall in September xx lox

It was also time to reveal the fund raising idea for June ..

these little purses are quick .. easy.. and fun to make .. just up our street x Yesterday I was making samples for our July idea .. and I have a serious addiction going on!! I think it is my favourite so far! .. you will have to wait until July to see it xx lol

Off for a brew ... have a nice day

Diane x

I meant to ask if you want some zips?... all colours, all sizes, not all small but they are only 10p each. I cut them and zig zag the ends before cutting to size. Lady in the shop always gets fed up counting and last time when I got some for my daughter she gave me 42 and said to just give her £3!!!

I've made my little purse this afternoon, not perfect but it is ok. I was wondering what to do with my bowtie block, a pot holder is a good idea.

Great that the dogs can have some peace again!

It was great to see you and spend time, even if we were all too busy sewing to do much chatting!

I made 4 little purses on Friday afternoon, even made a small adaption of a wrist strap.
I think they would have sold, but along with some other stuff I forgot to take them! !!

Lots of lovely stuff! Did you finish the circle purses with bias binding? Fiddly to join?
