...has been going on recently. HOOORAY!
Before Christmas ,I seemed to be in a race to get every thing done before going back to work ... and the sewing suffered, SO... I have spent the last couple of days indulging myself xx
I was Queen Bee for my Stash Bee (see button at side ) in October. I asked for flower blocks from the other ladies. The reason for this was that, my poor old garden was a COMPLETE washout last summer x They did a wonderful job and I received 12 blocks.. With the one I made I had 13.. there should have been 14 ...but that is the life of swaps xx... SO I changed my origonal idea of how to put then together ... and came up with..
This layout incorporates the FRIENDSHIP star... which I thought was a fun way to go xx .... and allowed me to use the 13 blocks in a balanced way xx..
It is a good job I have BIG walls in my house ... because ..the top is 93 x 93 inches!!! As usual I got a bit carried away! Mind you I have used up some fabric from the ...overflowing .. stash x

Christmas day I went to mum and dads and we had Christmas dinner ...and the evening... together..
we managed a very nice table... decorated by dad xx...
Then to-day has been spent with Adam ..

James (7) was "in charge"... he told me he had taken pictures of ...EVERYONE... when I down loaded ... there are a few missing! He must have found the delete button! He-He xx
We have a new friend here at The Cheshire Quilter... a warm welcome to Maria xx .....She is even more welcome ... as she was the WONDERFUL person who made and sent my Secret Santa present...
I have the most wonderful table topper/runner xx I LOVE it..
The embroidery is beautiful xx

...with the plan . The presents are wrapped, the calendars have been delivered, the cards are bought.... I HAVE thought about writing them! The house is clean and tomorrow I am going shopping .. for food and "other" things xx
We went to see The Lion King... WHAT a fabulous show. We ALL thoroughly enjoyed it xx
THEN yesterday we went to see The Hobbit (in 3D of course!!) OH! I want to go again!! Can I wait for the next instalment? Going to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard xx lol xx
To-day I managed some sewing .. at last , the withdrawl was getting painful x... I cannot show you WHAT I did because it was work on my latest Round-Robin block.... I did use SOME of these fabrics ....
I also managed a read..

....I am on countdown now! I have finished my rota , and, I have 7 nights off to fit in the busiest SOCIAL time of my year!! MUST BE CHRISTMAS xx lol xx
To night ....I am off to my mate Sues for tea, then on the way home I will be calling at Adams (son xx)
Tomorrow... it is shopping, then quilt group in Sandbach ......CHRISTMAS PARTY TIME xx
Friday ....is study session at work THEN...
We are going to see this instead of going to Panto this year xxx SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO exciting. The grandsons don't know!! they will find out as we are on the way to Manchester xxx WHOOPEE xx
THEN... Saturday we are off to see The Hobbit in 3D xx
Sunday is dinner at Adams...................PHEW!! will need to go back to work for a rest!
Of course I also have to find time to... buy, write post cards, buy paper and wrap the presents, do last min food shopping, put up the decorations .... NO PROBLEMS!!!!!!

....had to scrape the windscreen BEFORE I went to work last night... never mind when we came out this morning!! BUT we have not had the snow that so much else of the country seems to have had... so NO complaints from me xx
When I got up to-day these were waiting for me ...
AH! They should keep me quiet for a while xx
I whizzed off to the Post Office... ALL swaps and international cards and calendars gone xx ... just need to give my poor old purse a rest now xx lol xx

...we had a wonderful last meeting for 2012 .... gosh that sounds strange... it somehow feels like we only just started the year!!
In the Autumn draw for The Quilters Guild ,one of our ladies won the first prize of £500 ...WOW!... and to celebrate she had a special cake made ...
there was not a lot left by the end of the night xx
To-day I made my Stash #4 block. Deb wants an OWL block.....
I can confidently say that there will NOT be another like it xx He-He. I hope she likes it x

I managed to get a load of ironing done before I got tired and bored with the housework.... NO I do not want to do any-one else's xx
I also spent time sitting and quilting my second Mini-Round-Robin top....
I do-not know which of the 2 I like the best....
This one is more subtle and calm... depends on my mood I think xx
Also I made my block for the Christmas-Block-Swap today....
WELL I decided as it was Christmas I would make 2...
they will be in the post to Jessica tomorrow. It is quilt group in Congleton tonight... last one of this year... AND ... the Christmas party xx Food, drink and LOTS of gossip to-night xx

I worked on my Stash Hive #3 blocks this morning..
they will be going in the post on Monday. THEN I took the dogs for a long walk... I have the 2 grandsons coming to stay tonight .... and we are off to the pictures to see ... Rise Of The Guardians... so I need the "fury boys" to have had a good walk before then!!
When I came home I had a parcel on the mat... I did stop and get the camera BEFORE I went too far!!..
