.... I finished Adam's Christmas jacket xxxxx I sat and sewed it up and then ....I sewed it onto a sweatshirt jacket ... oh my! It weighs A TON!!... But he is a big lad and most probably wont notice because he will be snug and warm xx lol x... hopefully x
I bought this jacket (sorry quality of picture not great!)...
in George/Asda in a sale .. and thought it would be perfect for the inside of the jacket. I unpicked THEIR label ... and instead sewed in MINE xxm...
.... and now it is done ...
you will have to wait until Christmas to see him modelling it !! lol x I may make a hat to go with it as well as I have plenty of wool left.... it is a darker NAVY blue than it looks in the pictures x
I was going to try and get my Brit Bee block done to-day BUT.. the sewers across the road from my house have collapsed!.. As many of you know I live in a Victorian terrace in a narrow street .. so the street is closed ....and there are HUGE lorries...lots of noise .. bumps bangs and shouting...
..... poor Sam is VERY upset by it all .. he was sat by the back gate at one point x SO .. he has needed cuddles and reassurance and walks away from the noise .. cant sew and walk!! lol x They have all gone now and he looks like ..
....Gus is going SOOOOOO deaf he seems to be missing it!.. not that Im complaining xx So maybe tomorrow I will get it done as I don't think they will work over the weekend .. hopefully x
Hope its quieter where you are x

Love your idea for the jacket. I might have to borrow it.
That is a seriously quality piece of knitting which I am sure will be loved and treasured.
Poor Sam and poor you too, having to cope with all that disruption. Hope it's all sorted very soon.
Hope you are all prepped for next week!!

Wow Diane!!! The jacket is fantastic, what a great idea to put the other one inside! So much knitting there!! Oh I hope Sam is happier today...poor boy! I can relate to the noise, we have had builders etc here and Tupai isn't happy with the noise and people coming and going. here's hoping for a quieter weekend for you and that it is fixed quickly!
That's a great idea for the jacket!
I read ... "BUT.. the sewers across the road from my house have ..." And thought how lovely to have fellow sewers in your road, ieinder what they've invited you to - then read the next bit, oh no, collapsed? What on earth? Then realised!!!!!
