IN MY FAMILY...

... there are TWO essential genes that ... THANKFULLY .. have passed me by ..

1. the need and compulsion to clean obsessively ..

2. the need to feel guilty when the above is NOT done!! ..

phew! . am I glad I ducked .. or was talking.. or looking at something else when they were handed out! Otherwise how would I find time to sew and go to quilt group meetings .. and be in the garden .. and ..loll xx ?

For this reason I can post a couple of pictures taken .. through the dirty .. unwashed .. kitchen window .. of the lovely views I have ..

this is despite the rain that seems to have settled here at the moment ..

but then its the rain that makes it all so lovely and GREEN x

We are sooo lucky to be able to see and appreciate colour xx

Cleaning is totally over-rated. Love your wet garden pictures! It is pouring with rain here.

My mother-in-law had a wonderful saying, 'Life's too short to skin a mushroom', which some up my philosophy perfectly. Thank goodness for visitors, that's when the housework gets done. I like to see that I've made a difference!

Looks like you've got the "stop and smell the roses gene". Lovely garden!

Lovely garden shots! My mom kept a very clean house, but like you, that gene seemed to skip me. I enjoy having friends for dinner and when I do, I break out the cleaning stuff. ;-()

You missed the cleaning gene... lucky you. I suffer from SCD.... Spasmodic Cleaning Disorder. It's OK though.....he attacks are few and far between! Had my magnifying glass out looking for snails in your photos but couldn't spot a single one. Lots of beautiful flowers though... you obviously have very green fingers. Hugs...

You bet! With a dog that sheds day and night all year long, a bird that flings seed all over the room and sticky fruit and vegetable bits at the window, and a husband who piles things higher and higher until it avalanches on to the floor and chairs, I could clean all day every day and never do anything else or even get to the end. I think the thing I like best about quilting is that it STAYS DONE!

I'm the other way around. I do the housework, under duress....
But I neglect the garden!!

A clean house never stays clean. I'm very glad to hear that you are on my side of the fence. Your garden looks lovely, so much colour, it must be very pretty to see in colder weather, while you are nice and warm!

Beautiful photos of your garden.

That is definitely a gene to be avoided if at all possible.
