THIS WEEK....

... it was Sandbach Quilt group meeting. Our speaker was unfortunately still in the land of snow ... SO a make planned for later in the year was brought forwards and we had a pack to make a purse or glasses/cutter case...

.. as you can see I went with the purse x It was quick and fun x

I finished shawl no.2...

I am happier with it than I was ... it makes me realise I like the first one more than I thought!! lol

Now it is thinking cap time .. mm which of the MANY ...MANY ...MANY projects I want to do will be next?

BEFORE that however I have to get back out into the garden. Over the winter I get a build up of a green algae on the flag stones in the garden .. if left it gets slippy when wet and I have had ENOUGH of the slip/trip/fall adventures to last me .. for a lifetime!!

I COULD get a chemical spray to shift it .. but that is harmful to the wild life particularly the bees ..SO it me ..the yard brush ..a bucket of water... and lots of muscle power.. well a bit of muscle power! I tell my self it is good exercise for my arm.. and that is what the physio. ordered xx lol

Back to it then ... I am earning my tea-breaks to-day x

Stay warm and safe

Diane x

Try white vinegar on that mildew, along with slightly less muscle power. Works a treat.

That shawl really looks fab, the colour gradation is super.

White vinegar helps loosen the green algae in our neck of the woods. If rain is forecast, I'll pour it on, use a brush to scrub it around a bit and let Mother Nature do the rinsing. . .although if I brushed more I could have a crumpet with my tea! :) Love the purse. What a cute project!!!

We are springing ahead and then jumping back in alternating days. My garden is confused but the neighbor who has more sun is enjoying daffodils.
