.... the weather has been FOUL in the mornings with rain and wind ... then the afternoons have warmed up (a bit xx) and the sun has come out to play... SO into the garden I go .
Because we are heading into dark days with little or no colour.. apart from brown and the forecasters say snow snow snow!! I don't like to chop the plants or empty the baskets when there is any colour or flowers left.
SO.. here are some of the colours I have left in the garden..
have to hang onto them as long as I can x
Hope you have some colour in your life this weekend x

My daughter bought me a "Diamond Lily" for my birthday. It seems to be related to the spider lilies but it is pink with sparkles like diamonds on the petals and blooms later in the season. Our trees (three varieties of maple) are not so colorful this year ... maybe due to the hot dry summer.
I'm the same as you . I leave my pots until the very last moment. Hopefully the weather will be kind to me tomorrow so I can get into my garden. I still have daffs to plant
Green grass? That's all I can contribute!
Love the maple and the autumn colours Diane....we on the other hand are heading for summer and things are drying out here, the grass is going brown...we did get some rain yesterday so maybe the green will hang on a bit longer. The rose bush here is in full bloom, white, and the bougainvillea, pink, is covered in flowers.Kiwi fruit is very lush at the moment and about to flower. Hope you do not get too much snow!!
At least you h ave some lovely colours left Diane.....the leaves are striking!
wow, the pink on the maple I think it is, it is just stunning! We have no colour like that here in my spot! Every place has it'sown unique foliage colours and they are all beautiful!
Hope you don't get too cold
a good bit of cheer for a drear bit of the year!
Anything that gives me some colour at this time of the year is welcome in my garden for as long as it wants to stay.
