... THAT the hairy bikers have kept the weight OFF... and look great xx They were really good fun. I had heard some mixed reviews... but we had a GREAT night..(we were actually A LOT CLOSER than this looks ... lol x)

I also made my mind up... at last!! For what I am going to do for the Table Runner swap... SO, scraps are accumulating..

... was quilt group in Congleton. It was a LOUD and fun night xx Sometimes it just works out that way x
There was SUPPOSED to be a bag making session... but I do not think ANY sewing got done xx... I didn't see any ! One of the problems was that .. there is a second group that has recently started using the meeting hall, they are a card making group... and want tables!! SO the number available is now VERY restricted! It meant we were a bit squashed up ... good job we all get on with each other!! xx I have my pack ,and will find the time ... somewhere to make it up...
There was a discussion about the upcoming exhibition.. next July. I took in my cards etc (and am glad to see the back of them!), and a few other did too.... We have now been given ANOTHER challenge related to it!! GROAN! ..
We are to make a block with an applique bear that ..... represents how we see ourselves!!... there were some VERY rude suggestions I can tell you! Thinking cap back on!
AND we were given our Christmas challenge pack...
There was a table with fabric and "stuff" from a previous member that was being sold... I managed to mostly resist! BUT you have to join in!! This little bundle cost 5 pence!...
ALSO ... there was a traders table.... OK I admit it .... I DID NOT RESIST TOO MUCH!!!..
these goodies came home with me xx
NOW if anyone has too much time on their hands I could really do with a bit more... so you know where to send your spare time to xx lol x

I see no reason,

SO... the boys have had a long walk... and doggy calms with their tea..... well, it worked on Saturday xx HOPEFULLY it will work again to-night xx
I am going to be sat with my feet up, and these....
They are beads to be used on my Round-Robin wall hanging. NOT necessarily ALL of them... but a fair old number x
Tomorrow I am off to Congleton Quilt Group... we have a make AND a trader.... ohhh, fabric to touch and look at x
Wednesday I am off to the theatre to see..
...if you don't know them ... you MUST be outside the UK... do look them up xx ....it is billed as a night of Fun-Food-AND-Laughter xx.... I hope so xx
THEN on Thursday I am off out again for Quilt group in Sandbach... phew! I need to stay in on Friday before I go back to work on Saturday night xx

... the cold!
The weather was kind and although it was COLD it stayed dry...
The fireworks were really good... BRILLIANT .. according to Josh (grandson no 1)... esp the LOUD ones xx...
We all had so many layers on its a wonder we could move at all!.. But BY-GUM we were warm xx
I look like a dwarf in this picture ... I'm 5 ft 8!! ... NO I was not stood in a hole! .... Its just that Adam is 6 ft 7!! He HAS to stop growing at some point xx lol xx
There is something about a BIG fire, the smell of smoke ... and onions .... and the dark ,that just WORKS.... maybe its just us and our memories of Bonfires of the past... I LOVE IT xx not so sure poor old Guy Fawkes would agree though x

.... begin making my November swaps so that they are ready to go in the post next week. First off I made my Christmas block swap for Anna....
she wanted a tree x
Next I made my Stash # 4 block for Jessica..
the first person who made and posted pictures of these blocks wrote that she found them.. fun to make, and. thought the finished quilt would be stunning. WELL.... Shhhh I did not find it fun! I think it is a mess! AND I think it will look like a dogs dinner!! There, I feel better now x
I like scrappy quilts ... but there has to be some continuity ... and quiet areas to rest the eye x Still ... don't have to make them again lol x
The Christmas table runner swap I am doing asks for a hand made ornament to be included in with the runner... so I made mine today...
they are called heavenly soles (get it ...FEET, or shoes), I made 2 as they were so easy and fun!! lol x I am pretty sure I will be making more xx
Bonfire night is on Monday... as that is a school night most places are having their organised bonfires and firework displays tonight xx I am going with Adam, Caroline and the boys. The forecast is COLD... COLD and more COLD!!!
So , what ever parts of me where not frozen off last night... will be tonight! Wish me luck xx

.... today xx I managed to layer my Mystery-Mini-Round-Robin... now I can think about the quilting xx I also got my second Round-Robin !! WHAT a wonderful post xx SOOOO exciting x Only a couple of weeks and the BIG reveal will be here xx
You may remember that a couple of meetings ago at Congleton we were given 4 blank cards and a piece of muslin ...
we are to produce cards and a piece of art that can be framed and sold at next years exhibition. I don't make cards ... because it does not appeal...AT ALL! AND I don't see the people of Congleton buy our bits of art work... but, I could be wrong ... what do I know after all!
I have had them propped up where I can see them... because it irritates me and I knew it would make me do them... so that I could move them out of the way xx
Here is my rather pathetic effort...
they will be going in next week.... and that will be the end of it!!
I got to go and watch Josh (grandson no 1) play after school football... now I LOVE him... but I HATE football! It was SOOOOOOO cold I felt like a block of ice! I am just about thawed out now!!

..... I seem to have been on the "go" all day!
It started with shopping...food.. boring.... then dad and I set too and put together 2 wardrobes ,a bedside table AND a six drawer cabinet!! I am finding muscles I didn't know I had!!!
I then spent what seemed like HOURS cleaning up the little bits of polystyrene packing!! It just blows around xx
AT LAST the fun could begin...... but I cannot show you!
I layered my first Mini-Mystery-Round-Robin the BIG reveal day is later this month...patience my dears xx I will tell you that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this work of art xx I had an e-mail telling me the second one is on the way ... yipee x

I am doing the Secret-Santa-Table-Runner swap. I got my partners details!! OH! she is a REALLY wonderful quilter!
I will have to up my game here x I have found the pattern I am going to do ... and have been sorting fabrics x...I WILL show you what I do later xx
For my runner I will be asking for a Christmas runner to go onto my hall table. This is how it looks at the moment... (well! I could at least have straightened the cover!! lol x)
I have a runner that comes out every year... I thought it looked a bit tired last year and was going to make a new one... this is a much better idea xx
I hope my partner is reading this !!
The table measures 36 x 12 inches xx ....it can be bigger of course!! lol x
I am off to make a brew and put my feet up x
