how I got all excited about making 4 half-square triangles from one square?
....and I made LOTS and then started putting them together randomly?
WELL I got my act together and made a table runner ..
I put the insulated "stuff" inside so that hot dishes can be placed on it ...SO... it was too thick for hand quilting....I HAD to use the machine , SO played around with one of the stitches...
quite pleased with it... the backing is a bit MAD!..
but mum likes it ...so one claimed table runner x (well sort of ...she has given details of the "proper one" she wants ... this will do as a stand by!! gotta love your parents xx)

He also bought me the second July Mystery-Round -Robin...
I have not used this colour so far... it will be a challenge to find what I have in my stash xxx ITS A MYSTERY... you cannot see it!!

is the polite company translation of my reaction to seeing the block that is wanted for the Hive# 4 stash bee for July!!
However I pulled up my big girl pants and went for it .. this is my block...
PHEW !I thought WONT be doing that again in a hurry!
THEN I read the directions properly... SHE WANTS 2!!!!!
SO ... back to the grind stone I went...
NEVER AGAIN!! Do Not ask for this block! OK I admit they do look pretty good together...
BUT NEVER AGAIN!

...for me last night... it comes around so quick No wonder I missed most of June ! It HAMMERED down all night, so, I expected my garden to be FLAT this morning. Good old mother nature....
she doesn't let you down..

....quilt group in Congleton last night, we had a speaker... the lady who is the Cheshire co-ordinator for Limus quilts, We had a BIG bag of quilts to hand over, and she also gave us a talk about the work done and to come. I KNOW what she does... and I KNOW she lives in Chester...and I KNOW she was a nurse.... DO I KNOW her name? Do I heck!!!
Bit more BROWN for you today... a couple of cushions for you....I have shown you these before but thought you would not mind seeing them again! lol x

...the Met office has said June was the wettest ...most rain.. and dullest.. least amount of sunshine... EVER!!! July has continued the trend... we will see what records we can break this month! Sam is not worried..
despite lots of nice clean water in his bowl .... he wants to drink the dirty water out of the plant pots and puddles !
FIRST BROWN quilt today. I made this as a wall hanging some years ago..
at the time I had 3 cats (now sadly all gone) 2 big fat toms and a slimline queen ...
for them I quilted mice around 2 borders..
and for me flowers around the other 2..
it is one of my favourites xu

......how did that happen? I know I have had some sleep... but how much !!? The colour for July is BROWN... so watch out for a new backgrouund and some BROWN quilts xx I know some people have a problem with BROWN... not me xx
I have been working on 2 of my swaps today.... the first is for Stash Bee # 3...
This one is for Jennifer in Idaho.... she wants PINK BROWN and BIEGE... hope she likes it , as you know PINK is a scarce comodity round here! lol x
The second one is for a NEW swap..... I KNOW the LAST thing I need is a new swap! BUT ITS A CHRISTMAS ONE!! He-He ... like thats a good excuse lol x
