I WENT ON MY ........

....BIG adventure yesterday. The M6 was busy but fine .. THEN I came off the motorway and encountered the BEZILLION (as my grandson would say!!) Round-A-Bouts that Warrington possesses!!!!!... I managed to get lost .. oh yes .. I DID find my way again NOT helped by 2 women who work in a LOCAL garage .... and very much HELPED by a man riding a push bike ... so if you get lost ignore the garage and go for the man on the bike.... lesson learned xx ...

I met the lovely staff and the other ladies who were sharing the day with me ....the room we were in was lovely .. roomy and airy .It was set up with machines and cutting mats and irons ...and a coffee machine and tea ..IN A POT.. my favourite x.

I drive a car to get me from A to B and to me sewing machines are something the same ..

I had not sewn on a Pfaff before .. but once I got used to it I was fine .. some of the ladies liked SOME of the features and not others .. just personal choice x

We all worked on our projects through the day .. we were provided with fabric as well .... and drank and ate cake  chatted and had our dinner provided and chatted .. and it was a lovely day with lovely people xx

I made my little interlocking boxes ... to showcases some of their fabric and give an idea of a simple project...

YES I managed to make 5 .. you know me!! lol This fabric is sooo much fun ..

The  projects the other ladies made were  sooo pretty..

they are going to go up on the www.blacksheepwools.com website and when they are ready there will be A VOTE for the customer choice!!.. So I will be expecting LOTS of votes from here xx lol x

Then at the end of the day we had a wonderful surprise when we were each given a bag..

filled with the most scrumptious goodies...

WOW!!..AND I got to bring home the fabrics I had not had time to use ..

I felt all warm and fuzzy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The drive home was smooth as silk .. no problems at all .. and only got a little held up in traffic .. 5 mins from home!!

I will post the links to the blogs for the other ladies who were there ..oh! and the name of the lady who gave us the colour talk on Tuesday .. but that will be later as I am off to get the parents and return to "real/normal" life. It was so wonderful to step away from reality for a little while........ AND if you have survived this epic .. WELL DONE xx It would be wonderful to do it again .. you never know what life will throw at you x

Hope you ALL get to have an adventure .. sewing or otherwise xx

Diane xx

Looks like a great adventure. I used to visit Warrington regularly for work, when I still lived on the Isle of Man. You're right, LOTS of round abouts!
