quilt group in Sandbach...... I knew we were to get our fabric for the Summer challenge....SO, I left my post until I came home ...THEN when I got home .... NO Internet!! NOT my fault this time........ SO as it has now come back on I am posting while I can ....lol x
NOW... is there a rule that says challenge fabric has to be UGLY??? I am not the only one who said this either!! What do you think....
SHHHH don't tell but these fabrics came home with me as well....
THEY MADE ME BRING THEM HOME xxx lol
The challenge is to make 12 1/2" blocks by the August meeting, then they will be counted and divided up... raffle tickets given out .... and then the (un)lucky winners will get a bundle .... the second part of the challenge is to make "something" with the blocks you "win". To-day I made 2 blocks..
I have enough left to make 1 maybe 2 more.... back to work tonight so will have to wait until my time off xx
Yesterday I worked on my Halloween swap blocks.... I cannot show you Celine's block until I send it back and she gets to see it first... BUT I can show you mine x This how how it started
Then Celine added the next border
I have added the next one..
NOW they are ready to go back to Bedfordshire at the end of May and I can show you what I added to hers xx
Keep smiling
Diane xx

Love your halloween quilt! Also like your "they made me" fabric excuse:-)
Not sure how fabrics get to be called ugly, when they are so cheerful! And the finished blocks are smiling, so whether ugly or not before, they are not ugly now!
I don't find those fabrics particularly "ugly" and wouldn't mind having enough blocks to make a quilt of them. The halloween challenge seems like fun but must require a machine to keep up. (of course I am a bit biased because that is my birthday.
And, now fabric is asking? begging? demanding? to be aquired? oh oooh!
Well if thats ugly, my whole stash is ugly. Those are my colors. I think its cute fabric!
I love the two blocks you have made alreasdy, the fabric looks nice once it's sewn into a block - so happy! Who said ugly??
Once those fabrics are made up they look really good. Cheeful-like! Love the Halloween blocks.
*Cheerful-like
I wouldn't have called those fabrics ugly at all.
And I really like the way your Halloween block is coming along. I need to get busy adding to the ones I have to work on.
The halloween quilt is looking great!
And it looks even better in reality. Just great! Well done. I love mine too! Thanks
