THE POSTMAN CAME...

...back to day WHOOO HOOO, he brought me these lovely fabrics..

Sally has requested a project with OWLS...

And there seem to be a LOT of OWL fabrics out there xx..

Remember my book club? WELL I have (eventually) limped my way to the end of A suitable Boy... oh boy was it boring!! By the end I was SOOOO bored I just did not care about ANY of the characters. Our next book is this..

Dickens AGAIN! I am waiting for a book I actually WANT to read! there MUST be some on the list!!

To-day I WAS going to work on the latest New-York-Beauty block... however I woke up with an idea, and I kept thinking about it... even to the fabric I wanted to use.... this is how far I have got..

I am having fun with it... will keep you posted how far .. and where it goes  xx

Keep smiling

Diane xx

You New York beauties are looking good. I love the owls. Where did you order them? They would look great in an I Spy quilt. Have a great week-end.

The owls are lovely. I love the block with the mainly green background. They all look good though and difficult. xxx

Yes, I've noticed lots of owl fabric around too. I used some for a broderie perse project at my City and Guilds course a couple of weeks ago. I love A Tale of Two Cities, but then I love all of Dickens' books. Have you thought of listening to it as an audio book if you don't fancy ploughing through it? It's a great way to 'read' a book.

Neat color combos. And the book club thing...that would make me want to not read at all. Are they always into such types of books or are they usually better picks?
