New-York-Beauty block

The latest block in this quilt -a-long was issued on Monday..... I still had not done the last one!! SO I thought I had better get organised and make it! xx

So I made a start last night by choosing the fabrics I wanted to use.

As you will remember I said I wanted to move away from the light/rainbow colours that I used in the first few, last  time I started this by making the blue/purple one..

SO .... what did I go with?...

I really like it, it is now a cushion

NOW I had better start and look at the next one xx

OH! I just remembered I was asked why these (which have now gone to Australia)..

where rejects? Well. the colours (PINK) did not work for me, and, while as 2 halves they laid flat ...they worked. As 1 whole they WOULD NOT play nice together... no matter what I did!! So they became the placemats xx

Keep smiling

Diane xx

Wow lovely work as usual; question : is the speed you work these projects in down to the fact you are well practised or just a naturally quick worker. I think I have a lot to learn.

Take care and love your colour choices very dramatic

Really great. And I can't help but wonder if I had something to do with the colors for the newest pillow? If I have to take the blame, I will no problem.
