.. the return of the bookmarks at Sandbach Quilt Group meeting last Thursday we had a hand quilting session x This is the cushion I made with my piece...
I do LOVE hand work x
I also have another hand working project that I finished x Many years ago when my children were growing up I was a demon knitter! My kids did not know what it was to have a shop bought cardigan or jumper .. and to get a little more money I sold knitted goods as well x I have NOT knitted for years ... however my daughter recently asked me to knit her a cardigan ... SO .. to ensure I had NOT forgotten how to do it I decided to have a practice go AND...
it would seem I DO remember how to knit...
I also found one of the labels I used to use ..
in fact I found quite a few labels xx lol xx so I will now look to making the cardigan Sally actually wants (this one is going to her in Australia anyway xx)

A demon knitter. I like that. I have knit off and on for years, but I seem to be really enjoying it these days. The problem I have is sewing the pieces together. It never looks neat. Lovely Cardi Diane
Me too. I used to knit all the time. My Mum and Nana were both knitters, so I started at an early age. Now it is only occasional baby knitting I do. Maybe That should change.
I reckon knitting and riding a bike are 2 things once you know how you never forget.
Wow! That's really intricate! I can't knit :-(
A good job!
I'm a demon knitter too!
That's a beautiful cardi! I'm having a knitting phase too atm, but nowhere in your league.
When my kids were at home, all sweaters were home made. I also remember them being stolen from the coat hooks outside the classroom. Maybe I needed some of those labels!
Busy Hands! Love the knitting, I'm sure she will be pleased.
Love your cushion. Very sweet. And my aren't you quite the knitter. Lucky kiddies!
I've just taken up knitting in the last couple of years, though my grandmother taught me to knit when I was a child and I did make a little matinee jacket for my first baby. But I haven't ventured into pattern yet, I'm just trying to knit something I can wear. Everything I've made so far has ended up at the charity shop as I can't seem to get anything the right size!
I can knit but I don't have the patience for stuff like that. My sister is the knitter in our family, she is a whizz :)
What a lovely cardigan for your daughter! Pretty pattern.
You are definitely still a demon knitter. Love the hand quilting, is it your own design?
