... I like to read quilting magazines .. SOME of the British ones are .. to put it bluntly.. BORING !! I have been draw to some of the Australian ones as they have bright and vibrant project and easy to make projects x THEN last year THIS magazine ...
... hit the UK. It is FAST becoming a favourite with me x This first episode caught my eye .. and I decided this was the project for me...
I LOVE to work by hand .. and now I belong to the retired (!) I have (supposedly ...! ) more time .. so I went to the fabrics and began to pull out reds and browns ..
and ..YES!! .. some pinks (didnt think I had them!!) and creams xx ..
NOW I have a top..
mmm considering if I want to add a border or just layer and quilt as it is ... OH! Decisions .. Decisions xx lol xx
Keep smiling

Loving your colour choices here Di
Great start to retirement. Did you hand piece all these?
Magazine choices are very limited in UK and can be expensive. I saw one in W.H.Smith for £11.99. Lovely colour combinations for that top.
That was quick. What a lovely top
Gorgeous!
I get a number of US quilt magazines but some I am thinking of letting go when the subscription ends because they are more and more written for machine piecers and quilters and fused applique.
That is lovely!
I gave up buying UK quilting magazines ages ago, because all they do is is replicate stuff that's been done before. I do like to buy Quiltmania sometimes, even though it's so expensive, because it's just a lovely magazine. But this year I'm keen to go through the patterns I've torn out and either use them, ditch them or only keep them if I really think I will use them. I need more space in my sewing room!
That's fab , well done !!!!
Love the quilt like it is with no border. Could you bind it to match the background block colours?
