Erin over at www.sewathomemummy.com has put her latest block in the "modern meets classic " sew along!! WHEN I had stopped hyperventilating and seeing black spots in front of me !!! I pulled up my big girl knickers and made my block..
..talk about being shoved out of your comfort zone! I am NEVER making it again!...now I have 2 blocks .. wonder what next month will bring xx
The postman has brought me some new magazines to read ..
and some fabric from Justine at www.simplysolids.co.uk these are the fabrics from the stash club for January .. been stroking them all day xxx..

You're a very busy lady Diane. I don't quilting, but do fancy it. I've made the odd one for the GCh as they came along that's all.
I have that pattern to do too, but not at the moment.
Your block looks great...sometimes it's the only way to learn if we are pushed a little.
I bet you will have another go at that block some time in the future. Once you're over the horror you'll start to see how perfect it would be somewhere. I was like that with my 54-40 blocks, but a couple of years down the line I'm much more confident with them. I like your idea for the hearts and flowers block.
That 4 point star block looks like a lot of Y seams - well done !!!!
