... a couple of requests asking me to show how the hexagon chopkey are made ..
they are very simple .. and over the next few days I will put to-gether a tutorial ... watch this space xx
The workmen are still here .. they are noisy and filling the street! .. and making DUST.. I hope you realise that at some point I am going to have to DUST the furniture!!!! Yesterday a neighbour and myself watched one of them reverse a digger into one of the holes!! The entertainment value gets better every day!!
Yesterday the sun shone and it was lovely and warm.... SO out we went x We visited a Tudor Manor House close to us...... Little Morton Hall...
OR as it should be called ..The Crooked House! It was originally built during the reign of Henry VIII as a 2 story house ... then at a later date they decided to add the Long gallery..
on the top! The only 2 weight bearing walls are at the ends ... which accounts for the LACK of any straight lines in the place! EVEN the stairs are curved..
There was lots of inspiration for quilting patterns ..
A lovely day
Hopefully by the weekend it will be quieter and calmer and I will have some time and concentration to sew xxx

I am keen for the tutorial on the hexies. Just live the Tudor house .... Architecture is so interesting....
Dusting? Yuck! Just pay the grandkids to blow !!!! Love the house!
What a beautiful old house that is!
What an interesting outing! We have nothing here that equates at all with the gorgeous old buildings you get to look at there.
Here's another new follower thanks to finding your intro in the June P&Q mag!
I've enjoyed my browse through your blog and you've reminded me to return to Little Moreton Hall (and nearby Biddulph Grange too) as it is a couple of years since we were there.
Looking forward to the tutorial for the hexagon chopkeys as it will probably be my nexy hand/travel project.
Thanks so much,
Jo
I love Little Morton Hall! and the gardens nearby, Biddulph! they are great. The kids used to love going there!
Glad that you can find some humour in what is going on. Is there any point in dusting when they are only going to create more :)
Love Little Moreton Hall. I haven't been there since I was at school and we went on a History field trip.
