IN QUILTING ...

... as in life we need to know ourselves and accept those  parts of us that are not necessarily are as they may/should be!! NOW that's deep isn't it? The reason I started this way is to explain what I have been doing. To-day was St David's day (patron Saint of Wales) and I started the day by finding this little beauty in the garden..

(daffodils are the flower of Wales x )THEN I decided to work on my Stash Bee block that was published this morning x OH! I KNOW I am not good with lots of seams and points to match!... (see .. know thy self x) AND I know that I am not good at working to size! Now .. when its my blocks and they are all going to come out the same ... hey it doesn't matter x BUT when it is for someone else ...

I made one .. it came out small (only a bit ... but ...)... deep sigh! SO I made another ... even deeper sigh!  I set the Queen for this month an e-mail .. and they are going in the post on Monday . PLEASE ladies .. when you are in a swap/bee REMEMBER  we don't all have the skills you do ! Here are the blocks I made..

While you are sitting there tens and hundreds and thousands of miles away I KNOW you are saying .. they don't look so bad! In the flesh is another thing!

HOWEVER .. to ease my mind I went and baked (SEE know thy self xx)..

I have to point out that I share my baking with family and friends and don't eat it all myself xx lol x

THEN the postman brought me some more stash blocks ..

SO all smiles again x After taking the dogs for a walk .. and giving myself a talking to...I made this block..

..it is the March block for  the Christmas Block Swap and will also go in the Post on Monday.

Hope you find something to smile about to-day xx

The blocks may be a tad small, but they sure are pretty. Those scones look mighty tasty. Yum!!!

The blocks certainly LOOK okay, but as you say, that's in a photograph. I find being accurate incredibly difficult, no matter how hard I try.

The blocks are pretty even if they aren't quite the size they should be. I am glad you share your baking otherwise you would be increasing in size too :)
