They are fellow Citroënists, Jenni & Peter. Jenni is a patchwork and quilter of about 4 decades and was giving me lots of great advice.Funnily enough she was talking to me about labels and her advice was to attach the label before quilting and so, ensure that the label is also quilted onto the item so that it cannot be removed. I think this is a great idea for generations to come to know who, where and when your item wa made. I love that I have a number of keepsakes of my 2 grandmothers and also my Mum and Dad and I know Blair, my son, will want to know who they belonged to. Seeing as they are not quilts I will have to organise a document with photos for him. I am sure your children and grandchildren, in the years to come, will cherish your made items and be grateful to know their heritage.

What a great way to spend some time with Josh Diane. Keep it up, it sounds like fun.

Love
Deb xxxDebrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02622748466988653874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8727712769362681887.post-10269534776097815922013-04-08T23:14:54.411+01:002013-04-08T23:14:54.411+01:00I have just started making myself label a quilt wh...I have just started making myself label a quilt when it's done. I have had some for years. I tend not to use it any more as I just print directly to the fabric without treating it, but anything I label is not going to get washed.Maggihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04479533794674357334noreply@blogger.com
